A Typical Tails Up Day

The day begins at 6 a.m. with potty walks outside before breakfast is served in each guest’s private room ala room service.

Daycare dogs start checking in at 7 a.m. Once everyone has arrived and had a chance to digest breakfast, morning playgroups begin at 9 a.m. If you have treated your dog to any extra sessions, they will enjoy these in the morning too.

Using what we’ve learned from our initial consultation, each guest is assigned a playgroup based upon age, size and activity level. The groups are small and supervised to encourage positive social interaction. Playgroups last 45-60 minutes (groups may be lengthened or shortened depending upon occupancy and weather conditions).

Guests return inside to have lunch or relax. Around 1 pm, playgroups resume again and everyone returns outside for another playgroup.

In the early evening, daycare dogs say goodbye for the day while overnight guests enjoy dinner and room service. Finally, the day wraps up with one more trip to the play yard to take care of any business and one last romp before bedtime at 8 p.m. A staff member stays on duty between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. to make sure everyone has a restful night’s sleep.
