Overnight Boarding

Each guest has his or her own private indoor room with a raised bed and bedding. Fresh water is available at all times. Meals are served up to three times per day per your specifications. Every guest enjoys at least four trips outside per day with an established routine to help maintain housetraining habits and help minimize stress. In between play groups, each guest returns to their room for naptime. A complimentary bath is offered to all guests boarding with us for more than five nights.

Daycare

Tails Up daycare is slightly different from most of the daycares offered in our area. Instead of the large group play-all-day environment, Tails Up creates a blend of playtime and relaxation time that gives your dog a fun-filled day without over-exertion and over-stimulation. In between morning and afternoon hour-long play groups of friends similar in size, activity level and play style, daycare guest enjoy naptime in their own private indoor room.

Daycare is available seven days a week. Whether your dog needs daycare just a few days a year, or several days a week, Tails Up daycare is the answer.

Cats

Our feline friends enjoy their own private space within Tails Up. The cattery offers luxury accommodation for twelve cats within their own private room. Sounds of nature soothe their souls as they nap the day away (as we know cats love to do). Cats with more active agendas can enjoy time in one of their own designated activity rooms with lots of windows to watch the goings on around them.

Special Sessions

While the basic inclusions will satisfy most guest needs for human love and activity, your pet may benefit from a few extra options- it's completely up to you! Each customized 15-minute session includes a write up from the staff member to let you know what your pet enjoyed during their session:

Cuddle Time - exactly like it sounds- perfect for the pet that needs all the human attention it can get, including treats, back scratches and snuggles.

Massage - utilizing Tellington T-Touch techniques, this is relaxation therapy for stressed or nervous dogs.

Extra Playtime - perfect for dogs that love to chase tennis balls or have extra energy to burn.

Basic Obedience or tricks training - help your pup keep their perfect manners with some positive reinforcement based training on the basics like sit, stay, come, loose leash walking or polite greetings. For the more advanced student, we can introduce tricks into their repertoire!

Cuddle time, massage, and extra playtime sessions are $10 per session. Training sessions are $15 each.

A Tails Up Day

The day begins at 6 a.m. with individual potty walks outside before breakfast is served in each guest's private room ala room service. Daycare dogs start checking in at 7 a.m. Once everyone has arrived and had a chance to digest breakfast, morning playgroups begin at 9 a.m.

Using what we've learned form our initial consultation, each guest is assigned a playgroup based upon age, size and activity level. The groups are small and supervised to encourage positive social interaction. Playgroups last one hour (groups may be lengthened or shortened depending upon occupancy and weather conditions).

Guests return inside to have lunch or relax. Around 1 pm, playgroups resume again and everyone returns outside for another hour-long playgroup. If you have treated your dog to any extra sessions, they will enjoy these in the afternoon too.

In the early evening, daycare dogs say goodbye for the day while overnight guests enjoy dinner and room service. Finally, the day wraps up with one more trip to the play yard to take care of any business and one last romp before bedtime at 8 p.m. A staff member stays on duty between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. to make sure everyone has a restful night's sleep.
